What are the Days for Good?
The Days for Good are an opportunity for all Ferrer people to get involved in our purpose and its strategic pillars. This year, 2021, the event focuses on the pillar of Social Justice. We will wake up our activism once more to participate in volunteer activities linked to the four areas of action in our social strategy: employability, access to health, food and education.
Why does Ferrer organise the Days for Good?
The Days for Good 2021 are organised with the aim of communicating the social injustice strategy and involving Ferrer persons in this pillar through different volunteer activities.
When will the event take place?
The Days for Good will take place on 6th and 7th October.
Where can I find information?
You will find all information related to the goal, activities and ways you can participate in the sessions, in the section on the main page of the website www.daysforgood.com
Where can I put my name down?
You can put your name down for one of the volunteer activities you find in the website www.daysforgood.com Choose the one that best fits in with your preferences or availability and confirm your intention. You will receive an email on the 28th or 29th that will confirm if you have been given a place in the chosen activity and can participate.
There will be some open activities that will not require prior inscription.
How many activities can I apply for?
To guarantee that all Ferrer persons have access to the different activities, you can express your interest for a maximum of one activity.
Are the activities organised during working hours?
The timings have been scheduled according to the needs or nature of each activity. Most of these activities will take place during working hours.
Do I have to recover the hours?
No. However, from Ferrer we recommend that you choose an activity that adapts to your availability, so that it does not interfere with your usual work, and the combination of the timing of the volunteer activity is feasible with your work agenda.
Are these days holidays?
No. They are working days.
Until what day can I put my name down?
You can apply until 27th September.
Will there be places for all?
We have prepared activities with different formats that will enable more than 200 persons to participate in volunteer activities. The Days for Good are a great occasion to mobilise our activism again through volunteer work, and we are committed to continue offering this possibility in the future. This is why if you are left without a place, do not worry, there will being more occasions in the future.
How will I know if I have been accepted?
You will receive an email on the 28th or 29th confirming your inscription in a volunteer activity that you have expressed your interest in. This email will give you more details regarding the activity, such as the time, place or any other relevant information.
How do we get to the place of the activities?
We recommend that you organise yourself together with other members of your volunteer activity so that you can optimise the means of transport to get to the place you are going to. In many cases, the activities are located in places that are easy to reach by public transport.
In addition to participating, can I help in the organisation / logistics?
Of course! You can help us as an Activist+ and take charge of some technical matters of coordination, organisation and support for volunteer activities. Do get in touch with us and we will guide you: daysforgood@ferrer.com
In which cities / countries are the activities held?
The activities will take place in most of the countries in which Ferrer is present. The subsidiaries of Portugal, Mexico, Costa Rica, Chile, Peru and our Alexza Research Centre will be participating. At the same time, there will be activities in cities like Barcelona or Sant Pol de Mar and in the main work centres.
Are all activities face-to-face?
No. There are different activities available in the virtual format. For example, that's the case of the activity linked to the pillar of Access to Health in which all Ferrer persons can participate and be available in the online format. At the same time, there will be other activities in the website: www.daysforgood.com on 6th and 7th October.
How can I follow Days for Good?
The website www.daysforgood.com will be the main source of information for following the sessions. On 6th and 7th October, all Ferrer persons can share their participation in different activities and we will have spaces to get to know what is happening in each city and to listen to interviews linked to the pillars of social justice.
Will be face-to-face activities be adapted to Covid-19 regulations?
Yes, the activities will comply with the current regulations in force.
Will there be more editions of Days for Good?
Yes. And we are counting on you!
Can all Ferrer collaborators participate? (ETTs, Students doing practicals…)
Only Ferrer interns and students doing practicals can participate.
Do I have to reach an agreement about my participation with my superior?
All Ferrer persons can participate in keeping with the trust– responsibility binomial, and agreeing with your team to cover what’s needed at work.
